Hi, I’m Dave — and I’m really glad you’re here. Becoming a celebrant wasn’t about changing direction so much as leaning into something I’d always been drawn to: people, stories, moments that matter and, fun!

What I love most about celebrancy is sitting down together with you, getting to know you. Listening, asking the right questions, and gradually shaping something that feels honest and personal, that feels YOU. Not something pulled from a template, but a ceremony that reflects you, your relationship, your people, and the tone you want to set for your day. I work across all of life’s milestones. Weddings, elopements, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, memorials and funerals and, while each occasion is very different, my approach is always the same: calm, considered, and focused completely on you!

A calm presence when it matters most.. One thing I hear time and again is that I have a natural way of putting people at ease, especially in moments where there may be a little more stress than usual. Whether it’s a couple standing at the top of the aisle, a family navigating a difficult goodbye, or parents celebrating a new beginning, I will walk you through everything in advance with the reassurance that, on the day, I will be your guide throughout, no matter the ceremony. My role is to create a sense of reassurance and steadiness, so the moment can unfold naturally.

Clear communication is at the heart of everything I do. From our first conversation right through to the ceremony itself, you’ll know what’s happening, when it’s happening, and how it will feel. No surprises. No pressure. Just thoughtful guidance and support.

My style is fun and light-hearted where it feels right, professional without being formal, warm without being over-sentimental. My ceremonies are deeply meaningful without being heavy, and joyful without feeling forced. They are this because they are about you and your story. I love to take the time to get to know you, not just your story, but your personalities, your sense of humour, and what truly matters to you. Those are the bits that will bring your ceremony to life, and they’re what make it feel memorable long after the day itself. When all of this comes together, your ceremony will not just have been a part you got through to get to the reception, it will be a highlight of the day for you and your people!

Based in Kerry, travelling nationwide

I’m based in County Kerry and work with couples and families across Ireland and beyond. Whether your ceremony takes place on a windswept beach, an open clifftop, in a family home, a hotel, a garden, or somewhere entirely unexpected, my focus remains the same: to create a ceremony that feels genuine, grounded and all about you. I love for people I work with to actually enjoy the process of putting this together and have some fun along the way. I will listen carefully, guide you gently, and create a ceremony that feels fun, relaxed, meaningful and truly about you!
